Jason T. Vettori, a partner of Smith, Gildea & Schmidt, LLC (SGS), a regional law firm with offices in Towson and Baltimore, was recently re-elected President of the Greater Towson Committee (GTC).
GTC is a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization founded in 1979 to promote investment in Towson through development and revitalization of property and infrastructure for the benefit of the greater Towson community. The organization is volunteer driven by experienced business professionals committed to the long term success of Towson. Vettori, who has been a member of GTC for ten years, previously served two years as vice president.
At SGS, Vettori practices in the areas of real estate, land use and administrative law. He is a member of the Maryland State and Baltimore County Bar Associations, and he was recently named Chairperson of the State, Local Laws & Zoning Committee of the Baltimore County Bar Association.
Vettori is also a board member of both the Howard County and Baltimore County Chapters of the Maryland Building Industry Association (formerly known as the Home Builders Association of Maryland). He previously served on the Howard County Economic Development Transition Team for County Executive Ken Ulman.
Vettori, a graduate of Mt. Hebron High School in Howard County, holds a B.A. in Sociology from Duke University, where he was a member of the Men’s Lacrosse Team. After graduating from University of Baltimore School of Law, he spent a year as the Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Robert E. Cahill, Sr. in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County.
